Even though I already confessed my own mother issues, I couldn't resist a tribute to my own mommy.
Yesterday, I was thinking about why my mom is so awesome. I think a few glimpses of our past together will illustrate:
My mom and I sitting in the doctor's office, laughing behind our hands at the alternative medicine doctor's promise to "set me free" from my problems.
My mom giving me this face:
My mom giving me sympathy when I'm struggling with something.
My mom giving me a dose of reality when I'm whining about something.
Ah, moms. They just seem to know what face to wear for every situation.
And most of the time, it was this one:
(with a little graceful aging over the years)
Thanks mom!
